Scylla AG operates a steadily growing fleet of cruise ships. Trip planning involves a large number of administrative tasks: contracts with partner tour operators have to be drawn up, reviewed and adjusted regularly. Organising shore excursions requires coordination with local providers, including the timely provision of coaches, tour guides and other services. It must also be ensured that all ships are registered with the relevant port authorities in good time, so that smooth access to the berths in the destination ports is guaranteed.

To meet these requirements efficiently, we developed a web-based fleet management system called Cruiso. The application supports the core business processes:

• Trip planning with all relevant details on docking times and planned excursions.
• Ship registration with ports, locks and landing stages along the route. Cruiso automatically sends emails with the necessary data and tracks the status of the registrations.
• Contract handling with other tour operators who book entire ships or partial capacity for specific periods. The contract process runs through several phases. Templates are available, which are filled in automatically with operating data from Cruiso. The system also enables complex price calculations, depending on occupancy, region and time of year.
• Comprehensive reporting on the current registration situation, the position of the ships or the utilisation of individual ports.

In addition to the core functionality, many useful extra features have been integrated over the years, such as ongoing occupancy analysis for individual trips, a flexible trip status system and improved options for maintaining master data, e.g. for ship fittings.
